The WIME™ Framework
WIME™ stands for Water Infrastructure Manufacturing & Engineering. It is Aura Rainwater Foundation's workforce innovation model connecting education, technical training, industry credentials, apprenticeships, and employment to prepare the next generation of talent for the rainwater and water infrastructure economy.
WIME™ integrates three technical domains — Water Infrastructure, Manufacturing & Engineering — to connect education, industry, and communities with career pathways supporting rainwater harvesting, decentralized water systems, water infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, engineering, and related technologies. Leadership is developed throughout the pathway as an outcome — not treated as a fourth technical domain.
WIME™ is launching from Austin and the Central Texas region as a regional workforce ecosystem, with a framework designed to be replicated and expanded through partnerships across Texas and beyond.
Water Infrastructure
The systems, facilities, and operations that move, store, treat, and protect water — including rainwater harvesting and decentralized water systems as fast-emerging areas of the field.
Manufacturing
Production, logistics, equipment, components, and quality control behind the technologies that make modern water systems possible at scale.
Engineering
Design thinking, systems planning, environmental technology, and applied problem-solving across the water infrastructure economy.

Rainwater systems provide a real-world platform for learning water infrastructure, system operations, and technical skills.

WIME™ connects education, technical learning, and industry engagement to prepare students and emerging professionals for careers across the water economy.
